Transit Visas for Uzbekistan Available Starting May 1

Starting from May 1, Uzbekistan will offer short-term entrance visas for those traveling through the country. The visas will only be valid for 72 hours, reports This decision was announced by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Transit passengers will be able to leave customs zones in airports for short, approved tours. Visitors will be able to leave the airport between 8:00 and 21:00 with a guide. Passengers who decide to use this service should have a plane ticket (and if necessary, a visa) to a third destination. Visitors will also need to pay a consular fee.

A list of countries that will be eligible for short-term visas will be released shortly.

The Australian company Skyscanner published a list of the most beautiful Instagram places in the whole world, which included 15 places that are the most perfect for taking photos. Samarkand was listed as number 6 out of 15.

The whole town has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and you can take some seriously beautiful shots of the Registan public square, the Gur-e-Amir mausoleum, and the Bibi-Khanym Mosque,” wrote the experts from the Australian service.

Skyscanner also included locations in Egypt, USA, Malaysia, Peru, Japan, China, Fiji, Australia, and Thailand, plus other locations. Instagram is currently one of the most popular social networks in the world.
